Upcoming Lenten Events

As Holy Week and Easter approach at a rapid pace, here are a few reminders of upcoming events in our parish next week.

The final Knights of Columbus Fish Fry will be Friday, March 6th at 6:00pm in the Parish Hall.

This coming Sunday, March 8th, is the Third Sunday of Lent. It is also the date that Daylight Savings Time begins so clocks move FORWARD one hour.

Monday, March 9th is the opening night of the parish three-night Lenten Mission, “May Jesus Christ Be Praised”, led by Fr. Giles Conwill, Ph.D. The first session will begin at 6:30pm. Each evening will include music, prayer, reflections from Fr. Giles, communion, and adoration. On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings the Lenten mission will begin at 7:00pm. A good-will offering or a donation of canned goods for SVdP would be appreciated.

On Wednesday, March 11th, the staff of St. Peter’s will be serving dinner in the Parish Hall at 5:30pm prior to the final session of the Lenten mission. There is no cost to attend this dinner.

On Thursday, March 12th, Deacon Wayne will continue his Lenten Communion Services, with the Holy Rosary at 6:00pm and Communion Service at 6:30pm.

Don’t forget Stations of the Cross on Friday, March 13th at 5:30pm!

On Saturday, March 14th, the Knights of Columbus will be holding their St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Party at 7:00pm in the Parish Hall. This weekend (March 7th/8th) will be the final weekend to purchase tickets after each Mass. The cost is $25 per couple, or $13 per individual, and includes dinner, dessert, drinks, live music, door prizes, and childcare. You will not want to miss your chance at winning the hand-painted icon of Pope Francis created and donated by Clint Robinson! Support the Knights of Columbus and stop by and purchase your tickets in the narthex this weekend!
