Mission Statement:
St. Peter’s Preschool engages children ages 12 months to 5 years in meaningful and creative learning through an experiential curriculum. We assist parents in the spiritual and educational formation of their children by creating a school community with an atmosphere based on the Gospel and Catechetical teachings of the Church.
Philosophy:
Our aim at St. Peter’s Preschool is to instill in children a love for learning throughout their journey in life. We believe that from the time of birth, children try to develop a relationship with the world around them by experiencing that world. In our school, we endeavor to facilitate this by showing children how to learn, prompting them to collaborate with those around them, provoking them to think about these experiences, and respecting their thoughts and theories. We do this by allowing the children to develop their creativity and critical thinking skills through experiential learning. We don’t tell the children what to do, rather we allow them to discover on their own through the process of inquiry, investigation and invention.
