Catechist are volunteers who are willing to take classes toward certification through the Archdiocese. Duties include but not limited to: teaching Religious Education classes every Sunday at 10:30 AM – 11:45 AM based on a regular school year schedule.
MONTHLY MEETINGS
All Catechist are strongly urged not to miss our monthly meetings. They are held the first Sunday of the month after our regular religious education program. At these meetings our Catechist receive update information on Liturgical and school schedules, teaching requirements, address issues in the classroom, as well as enrichment for you and your class.
COMMISSIONING CEREMONY
An annual ceremony is held during Mass for all of our Catechist during the Fall season on Catechetical Sunday.
SAFETY IS IMPORTANT TO US
Those interested in becoming Catechist must comply with Child Safety standards set forth by the Archdiocese of Atlanta and submit to a criminal background check.
