Save the Date!

There will be a special First Friday lunch program on March 1st following the noon Mass.

Nationally known Catholic storyteller Ed Stivender will entertain us with amusing and touching
stories, including memories of his Catholic upbringing. Hosts will be Barbara Bergeson, Kathy Moore, and Helen Bishop. Members of the Azalea Storytelling Festival Committee will be our guests, so please bring a little extra to share at lunch. Join us for an afternoon of great laughs and good fun.

First Reconciliation Preparation

Class begins January 9th. Classes will be held each Wednesday evening from January 9th through February 13th, from 6:30 to 8:00 in the education building (building 2). Parents of children due to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation will receive more information at the mandatory parent meeting on January 9th at 6:30 in the education building. There is a $50 Sacramental Prep. fee, due at the parent meeting. This fee covers the additional books used for the preparation of First Reconciliation and First Communion, as well as banner kits, and other supplies. Please contact Emily Purcell with any questions at epurcell@stpeterslagrange.net.

“The Mass”

A 6-week adult study program, Bishop Robert Barron’s “The Mass”, begins Wednesday, January 9th at 7:00 PM. See how the Mass brings us out of the fallen world and into the heavenly realm, how it resonates with a call from God and a response from his people, the Church, and, most importantly, how we are intimately joined with the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Jesus through the Holy Eucharist. “The Mass” will help you understand how to fully, consciously, and actively participate in the source and summit of the Christian life. If you would like to participate, add your information to the sign up sheet on the bulletin board in the vestibule by December 16th so study guides can be ordered. There is a $20 fee for the study guide, to be given to Emily Purcell in the church office. See her if payment is a concern. All are welcome!
